[Week 2] Day 13 – 14 Post ACL reconstruction surgery recovery
Day 13 ( Week 2)
Pain – 1/10
Mobility – 6/10
Pain is now decreased such that only at the extreme ends of the range of my knee will I have pain. I can walk quite normally now even without the brace. At night when I get up to go to the toilet, the pain is not as intense anymore, and I can do so even without crutches.
Didn’t go too hard on physio as the new exercises I only learnt yesterday. Nonetheless, my knee cap is already having some strain from the new rehab exercises. All in all, I’m happy with my progress that it’s less than 2 weeks post ACL surgery and I can walk without crutches.
Day 14 (Week 2)
Pain – 1/10
Mobility – 6/10
Feel my knee getting stronger day by day. Spoke to a friend who went through this surgery, and he said it is very important to keep up with the physiotherapy rehabilitation exercises because you will have to condition your muscles around your knee. If it heals as it is, there will be a range problem with your knee in future. I stepped up my physio exercises to about 4 times a day, and will try to push for 5 times a day if my knee allows.
